Is any team east of the Mississippi more irrelevant than Eastern Michigan?
The Eagles play in the same state as attention-grabbers Michigan State and Michigan. Even among in-state MAC brethren, Eastern takes a back seat to Western Michigan and Central Michigan.
Too many seasons like last year’s 1-11 will do that.
Lindy’s sees the team from Ypsilanti as the 127th best of 128 teams for 2016.
And who really cares?
Western Michigan freshman wide receiver Bryson White and linebacker Ron George, also
a freshman, have been suspended from the team after being arrested off campus early Saturday morning.
Okay. So Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh doesn’t want us to know who his starting quarterback will be Saturday against Hawaii. Is he planning a surprise? (Leftie Shane Morris?) Does he go with the favorite? (Houston transfer John O’Korn?) Will it be the third-year sophomore? (Wilton Speight)
But why can’t he be nice about it? Harbaugh, to a reporter Monday: “I’ll say who our starting quarterback is before Saturday. I didn’t say I was going to say it to you.”
The coach did say, “All the quarterbacks are playing at a really high level.”
