Bill Dooley

**  As a Mississippi State offensive lineman in 1955, he was All-SEC.

**  Three times he was the ACC’s coach of the year  –  1971 at North Carolina and 1987 and 1992 at Wake Forest.

**  He is the longest tenured coach in school history at North Carolina  –  11 seasons.

**  He took his teams to 10 bowl games but only won three of them

**  He had 161 career wins as the coach at North Carolina (He was 69-53-2), Virginia Tech
(63-38-1) and Wake Forest (29-36-2).

**  He was the younger brother of former Georgia coach Vince Dooley.

**  There will be a moment of silence in his honor on September 3 when Georgia and North Carolina meet in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.

**  Bill Dooley, 82, passed away on August 9th of natural causes.
