McCartney and Spurrier

**  Former Colorado coach Bill McCartney, 75, has Alzheimer’s.  He coached the Buffaloes to their only national title in 1990 and was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 2013.

**  Steve Spurrier, who won a Heisman in 1966 as a quarterback at Florida and coached the Gators to their first national championship thirty years later, is returning to the school as an ambassador and consultant for the whole athletic department.

**  Spurrier, 71, said, “I will try my best to promote and assist in any way I can to help the Gators to continue to be one of the very best athletic programs in America.”

**  He won six SEC championships at the Gainsville school where he is, unmistakably, a legend.
