Paul Hornung Award Watch List 2016

**  The Paul Hornung Award is in its seventh season, having been first presented in 2010.  There are 43 players on this year’s preseason watch list, including three of four finalists from 2015:  winner Christian McCaffrey of Stanford, who accumulated 3,496 all-purpose yards to break Barry Sanders’ 1988 record of 3,250 yards, as well as Jabrill Peppers from Michigan and Adoree’ Jackson from Southern California.  McCaffrey can become the first repeat winner in the award’s history.

**  The Hornung Award goes to the most versatile player in FBS.  Hornung is considered the most versatile player in the game’s history.  He won the 1956 Heisman Trophy and played every position in the offensive backfield.
