** Sophomore tight end Jameer Outsey will transfer from Iowa. The 6’3″, 245-pounder played in eight games for the Hawkeyes in 2015. He had just one reception for 10 yards and recorded a single solo tackle on special teams.
** Oklahoma State has extended coach Mike Gundy’s contract two years through 2012. His base salary will be $3,550,000 annually.
** Under Gundy, 48, Oklahoma State has gone to bowls 10 straight years, winning six. Overall he has won exactly 2/3 of his games, going 94-47 in 11 seasons in Stillwater.
** Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher has changed course regarding satellite camps. Last month he said his program would either host or attend a satellite camp this summer; now he says it won’t.
** Perhaps he sees no need. Attending his prep camp last week as either participants or recruits were at least three five-star prospects:
+ Cornerback Stanford Samuels III, who was rated by 247 Sports #3 in the nation at his position in the 2017 class;
+ Running back Cam Akers from Clinton, Mississippi, who is rated the #2 RB in the nation in the 2017 class;
+ Offensive lineman Calvin Ashley, a 6’7″, 334-pounder from Orlando and an Auburn commit.
** Four star-prospect Jake Moretti of Avada, Colorado is a 2017 Ohio State commit. On Friday of last week he injured himself at the Buckeyes One Day Position Camp in Columbus. He was jogging in a non-contact shuttle drill when his knee buckled.
** Ohio State believes it’s a torn ACL and that Moretti will miss his entire senior season as a high school football player.
** Having planned to be an early enrollee, Moretti will still matriculate to Ohio State in January of 2017 and his scholarship to the Big Ten power remains fully intact.
