** Auston Robertson, a four-star defensive end from Fort Wayne, is going to Michigan State. His signed with the Big Ten school had been delayed due to legal proceedings arising from misdemeanor battery allegations against him in October of 2015.
** Five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson from Savannah Christian Prep in Georgia will announce, after much anticipation, his college choice on May 2. He is, by far, the largest fish left in the ocean. The finalists are believed to be California, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. New Georgia coach Kirby Smart has gone after Robertson hard.
** Junior Mitch Trubisky will be the starting quarterback at North Carolina this fall. It won’t be easy to follow Marquise Williams, but Trubisky’s stats from 2015 suggest he may be up to the challenge: 85.1% completion rate, 555 yards, 6 touchdowns and no interceptions. He solidified the job as his with a strong spring.
** Salt Lake City’s Maxs Tupai, a 6’2½” and 250-pound defensive end, will play for Utah in 2016.
