**  Syracuse running back Devante McFarlane has quit the football program.  He had expressed unhappiness previously.
**  In three seasons McFarlane carried 111 times for 563 yards, averaging better than 5 yards per carry.  He also caught 10 passes for 116 yards.
**  McFarlane becomes the second 5th-year player to leave since Dino Babers became the coach after Scott Shafer was fired.  Wide receiver Ben Lewis was the first.

**  Ryan Davis will be the cornerbacks coach at Fordham in 2016.  He was an offensive graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech last season.

**  Colorado has booted quarterback Cade Aspay and safety Evan White for violations of team policies. The dismissal occurred just as spring football began in Boulder.

**  Citing geographical reasons, the Sun Belt has decided that the Idaho and New Mexico State football programs will be dropped from the conference after the 2017 season.  Coastal Carolina will be the 10th team in the Sun Belt for the 2018 season.
**  Idaho faces two options:  play an independent schedule, or drop to FCS and join the Big Sky Conference.  New Mexico State is expected to drop to FCS.
