New Mexico Bowl

**  Arizona running back Nick Wilson will miss the game with an undisclosed injury.

**  Bronco Mendenhall will coach the Cougars even though he’s leaving for Virginia in 2016.
**  Utah defensive tackle Viliseni Fauonuku, at the Las Vegas Bowl welcome reception, to the Utes’ opponent:  “B.Y.U. , y’all are a good team, but you’re a dirty team.”
**  Strap ’em on tight, guys.

**  There were insufficient common opponents to do COCSIs for the other December 19 bowl games.  The Cure Bowl has none, which isn’t surprising when the teams (Georgia State and San Jose State) are from opposite coasts.
**  The Camelia Bowl teams had one common opponent.  Both Appalachian State and Ohio played at Idaho and won by similar scores.  App State beat the Vandals 47-20; Ohio won 45-28.
**  The New Orleans Bowl adversaries also had one common opponent.  Both Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech hosted Louisiana-Lafayette, with the Red Wolves prevailing 37-27 and La. Tech having an easier time, 43-14.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
December 22
**  Utah State quarterback Kent Myers’ shoulder will be good to go for the game against Akron, but it’s not known if Myers or Chuckie Keeton will start.

Pinstripe Bowl
December 26
**  Duke All-American safety and team MVP Jeremy Cash will miss the game against Indiana because he recently had surgery on his wrist.

Holiday Bowl
December 30
**  Running back Corey Clement made news this week by announcing he’ll be back at Wisconsin next season after seriously considering a jump to the NFL.
**  Clement’s more immediate goal is to be healthy enough to play against Southern California.

Citrus Bowl
January 1
**  Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock practiced Tuesday with no restrictions.

Sugar Bowl
January 1
**  Oklahoma state quarterback Mason Rudolph has not been wearing a walking boot and could practice next week.
